Lean but Not-So Cuisine

Tuesday, December 9, 2008

I was running late this morning, due to the fact that I needed to get on the road super early in order to make it to work on time with the horrible road conditions. I was pretty irritated that I had to go in at all. The elementary & high school was delayed two hours because of the snow, but the preschool wasn't! Ugh.

So breakfast was grab 'n go: A Kashi Trail Mix granola bar and a banana.

This was a big deal for me, since I hate bananas. Don't get me wrong, I love the flavor of them, so I can eat them in things. But the texture of them makes me gag. Can't help it.

I didn't have time to make lunch to bring with me either, and I wasn't able to do it last night because I fell asleep reaaaaaaallllllllllly early. So I grabbed a Lean Cuisine from the freezer. I'd picked up a couple of them several months ago for "just-in-case" days like today.

It was chicken in garlic sauce, with creamy parmesan spinach.

It honestly didn't taste too bad, but it was TEENY TINY. I was quite hungry afterward. I also had a tangerine with it.

When I got home from work (and running to the Dollar Store for a few things), I made supper right away. Spicy Shrimp Stir Fry.

It was really spicy, and my mouth is still on fire! But it was delicious. Ok I'm going to relax and watch Cold Case reruns on TNT. Good night everyone!

I eat 1 banana every single day; but it's cooked in oatmeal, since I too don't really care for its texture, on its own :-)

I LOOOOOVE spicy meals - yum!!

Glad you made it to work and home safely! I can't believe they didn't delay the preschool! That is ridiculous!

Stir fry looks great! I love stir fry- what a great go to dinner!

Those teeny tiny meals are discouraging. I mean, am I actually supposed to be ok with that amount of food? If so, I am definitely over eating,

I feel the same way about bananas! Thank God I'm not the only one out there that gags on their mushiness!

I share your feelings about bananas. :) haha I once told someone that I ate a whole banana plain and it was a big deal and they looked at me like I was nuts. :)

I was just catching up on some of your entries - your kitties are seriously SO cute!
